Kororā / little blue penguins are the smallest penguin in NZ, they are also the only penguin species in the world the have blue feathers! These little birds spend their days at sea fishing and arrive at shore in large groups known as rafts. Sadly they have a declining population, the fishing industry, climate change, habitat loss and mammalian predators are all to blame for this, but their populations are given a boost by nesting areas being protected by pests and nesting boxes being provided.

The patch can be ironed on or sewn onto backpacks, jumpers, beanies, anything you can think of!

Please note the patch can only be ironed onto natural fabrics like cotton, denim, canvas etc, it cannot be ironed on to synthetic materials.
