Our Rarest Bird

I wanted to share these ceramic wall hangings I made of our rarest breeding bird, the Fairy Tern. The Fairy Tern is a bird close to my heart, their story is pretty heartbreaking, they face so many battles, predators, habitat destruction, and even floods can wash away their nests. Their entire population is only 40 birds, and last season only 2 chicks fledged. I decided to help in the small way that I can and am donating 100% of the profits from the sale of these wall hangings to the NZ Fairy Tern Charitable Trust. I hope someone wants these for their walls, so I can pass the donation on to help these tiny shorebirds.
