snap happy at zealandia

This post is a few weeks (ok, over a month) late but on Christmas eve I went to my favourite and local sanctuary, Zealandia. I don’t take for granted how lucky I am to live near this this amazing safe haven for so much endangered and vulnerable wildlife. Sometimes when I visit Zealandia the birds seem to be eluding me and I don’t take many photos, but Christmas eve was not one of those days. For some reason the birds were presenting themselves nicely and were super easy to photograph, and I was lucky enough to spot and snap some photos of a Black Fantail (which are super rare in the North Island).
