The Strait
I don't even know where to start to try and get this blog up to date! So I'm going to start with the best day I have had in a long time, it was a day spent on the water birdwatching :-) I happened to see a post about a trip to the Cook Strait (the body of water in between the North and South Islands) on a birdwatching forum I browse, and jumped at the chance to go out into the water to see some Albatross and other seabirds. (Spoiler alert: I'm actually going on another trip next week too which I'm super excited about!)
So here are some photos from my day. I had such a great time, and although I'm not very good at identifying seabirds I'm getting better, and luckily I was given tips on the day from some other helpful bird nerds. Also lots of blog posts about calendars coming soon!
