Submission for the Bolt of cloth textile design awards 2017 - finalist

I submitted these designs for the annual Bolt of Cloth Textile Design Awards in 2017. They reached the finals in the competition but didn’t get chosen to get made into fabric and throw pillows. The pillows shown are mockups.

The concept behind these designs were to showcase the overlooked birds of NZ. Our forest birds get all the attention, but we have just as many amazing shore, sea and wetland birds that call NZ home.

Each bird in these patterns are hand painted and they are available for purchase as fabric through my Spoonflower shop.
