I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to illustrate an umbrella canopy for a very special collaboration. This umbrella is a collaboration between Blunt Umbrellas and Forest & Bird and is a celebration of the infamous Bird of the Year competition. The design features the past five winners of Bird of the Year, even last years controversial winner, the pekapeka-tou-roa or long-tailed bat.

I absolutely loved creating this design, it has been a dream collaboration for me. I am so happy with how well the umbrellas turned out, they look stunning.

If the birdy and batty design isn’t enough, a portion of the sale from each umbrella will be donated to Forest & Bird to help them continue their advocacy for New Zealand’s nature.
